St John’s Primary School is a Catholic school located in Mitcham, in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The school recently underwent a redevelopment which included landscaping, additional shaded areas and a new multi-sports court being built.
Advanced Lighting Technologies (ADLT) supplied the Cree Lighting OSQ Series LED Area & Flood Light to illuminate the sports court.
The brief called for the average light levels to meet the recommendations in the relevant Australian Standard (AS/NZS 2560.2.4:1986 Lighting For Outdoor Netball & Basketball).
In addition to the OSQ Series, ADLT also supplied matching premium square steel light poles from Cree Lighting, featuring the unique Crown-Weld base that offers improved strength and robustness compared to typical poles.
The lighting provides St John’s with the flexibility to safely use the courts for longer throughout the day, especially during the winter months. Cree Lighting’s long lifetime and industry-leading warranty (10 years on the luminaires, 7 years on the poles) is an added benefit, helping to ensure the court will be lit up for years to come.
